I've been experiencing a myriad of emotions around the current racial tension happening in our nation right now. I've been angry, sad, empathetic, proud, ashamed, and frustrated. I tried my best to bottle these emotions, but it's done me no justice.

I’ve been experiencing a myriad of emotions around the current racial tension happening in our nation right now. I’ve been angry, sad, empathetic, proud, ashamed, and frustrated. I tried my best to bottle these emotions, but it’s done me no justice. And since I process things better through conversation, I decided to put a call in to my best friend of over 25 years, Tameka Ross. I affectionately refer to her as “Yoda” because of her calm powerful wisdom.

This episode is raw conversation between two friends expressing and explaining what it means to be black in America right now. We took no notes. We had no talking points. We just let it all out in the most beautifully vulnerable way that we do when there is no microphone present. I hope you’re able to hear our hearts. Feel our hearts. And understand our hearts. Enjoy!
